Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting for a Social Worker to join its client's Manchester City and Locality Team based in Wythenshawe. The candidate will join a team of 2 Advanced practitioners and 4 social workers supported by an experienced Team Manager. The team focuses on CIN, CP, Pre-proceedings and care proceedings. What will your responsibilities be? Undertake comprehensive assessments of children and families in line with statutory responsibilities and safeguarding procedures. Manage a varied caseload involving children subject to Child Protection Plans, Child in Need Plans, and Public Law Outline (PLO) processes. Prepare high-quality court reports, statements, and care plans for legal proceedings. Attend court hearings and provide evidence where required. Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to ensure positive outcomes for children and families. Carry out direct work with children and young people to assess risk and identify support needs. Develop and review care and safety plans in accordance with legislation and local authority procedures. Undertake home visits and maintain accurate, up-to-date case recordings. Participate in strategy meetings, case conferences, looked after children reviews, and planning meetings. Ensure all practice is child-centred, strengths-based, and compliant with statutory guidance and Social Work England standards. Support children to remain safely within their families wherever possible while ensuring safeguarding remains paramount. Contribute to permanence planning for children where necessary, including care proceedings and placement planning. Qualifications and Experience: Social Work England registration Eligible to work in the UK. Hold a full UK license.
