Senior Social Worker – Adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism

Role Overview
We’re seeking qualified and compassionate Social Workers with successfully completed Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) to join our dynamic team.
What’s the Role?
As a Social Worker in our service, you will:
- Provide person-centred support, empowering individuals to lead fulfilling, independent lives.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, care planning, and reviews in line with the Care Act 2014 and other relevant legislation.
- Collaborate with individuals, families, carers, and multi-agency professionals to deliver holistic support.
- Apply Continuing Health Care (CHC) frameworks, safeguarding protocols, and Mental Capacity Act processes confidently.
- Stay informed about local services and resources to ensure optimal outcomes.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver person-centred support that promotes independence and well-being.
- Lead assessments, care planning, and regular reviews aligned with legal frameworks and best practice.
- Work collaboratively with individuals, families, carers, and partners to enable sustainable support.
- Ensure safeguarding practices and Mental Capacity Act compliance are robust and activated as necessary.
- Stay current with local resources, encouraging access to community services where beneficial.

Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England, having completed ASYE.
- Deep knowledge of adult social care legislation, including the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding.
- Proven experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and commitment to promoting autonomy and choice.
- Exceptional communication, assessment, and crisis intervention skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

Salary
£45,852 - £47,925 per annum (SCP 31-33), subject to spine-facing offers. Only exceptions to minimum offer where current salary matches scale (maximum limit applicable).
