Liquid Personnel is seeking experienced Social Workers to join its client's dedicated Families First team based in Trafford. This service is designed to strengthen assessment and planning for Children in Need, ensuring a consistent, high-status approach to CIN work across the borough. What will your responsibilities be? Assessment & Planning: Undertake comprehensive Child and Family assessments to identify needs and develop robust support plans. Duty & Investigation: Participate in the team duty rota, which includes conducting Section 47 (S47) child protection enquiries as required. Case Management: Hold a manageable caseload of children supported through Child in Need (CIN) planning, focusing on achieving positive outcomes within family timescales. Relational Partnerships: Build strong, trust-based relationships with families and partners to facilitate the safe "step down" of plans to universal or early help services when appropriate. Locality Working: Work within a specific locality to ensure a deep understanding of community resources and needs. Working Hours and Hybrid Pattern: Office Presence: There is a strict requirement for candidates to be office-based at least 3 days per week. Team Structure: Teams operate on a rota basis for duty, ensuring a fair and varied workload for all staff members. Contract: Full-time agency cover. Manageable Workloads: We strive to maintain manageable caseloads to allow for high-quality, relational social work that truly makes a difference. Qualifications and Experience: To be successful in this role you must have; Social Work England registration and a recognized Social Work qualification. Frontline Expertise: Proven experience in Duty and Assessment or Child in Need services. Assessment Skills: Strong ability to undertake analytical Section 47 enquiries and risk assessments. Compliance: Candidates must provide a 5-year reference history (with all gaps checked) and must pass the DfE Recommendation Compliance Questions to be considered for submission.
