Children’s Social Worker – Family Safeguarding (Permanent, Full-Time)

Salary: £36,363 – £46,142 per annum (up to £46,142 dependent on experience) Hours: 37 hours per week | Location: Burnley and Pendle, Lancashire Contract: Permanent


About the Role

Lancashire County Council is seeking Children’s Social Workers to join our Forward-Thinking Family Safeguarding Team. Your Responsibilities

As a Children’s Social Worker, you will:

  • Manage a caseload of Child in Need and Child Protection cases, working under the Public Law Outline.
  • Conduct assessments, planning, and direct work with families to ensure safe, stable placements.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team for integrated, impactful outcomes.
  • Deliver high-quality, reflective practice in line with safeguarding standards.
