Day-to-Day Responsibilities
As a Social Worker in Family Support and Safeguarding, your responsibilities include:
- Acting as the lead professional, ensuring all safeguarding matters are dealt with promptly, effectively, and in line with child protection procedures, escalating concerns where necessary.
- Undertaking assessments to:
- Identify and respond to needs.
- Build on strengths.
- Ensure robust analysis leading to clear outcomes met through SMART targets.
- Engaging with children, young people, and their families to:
- Develop effective and empowering relationships.
- Facilitate change and improve outcomes.
- Producing reports and plans for various forums (including court), ensuring they:
- Are child-focused.
- Reflect the child’s experience.
