About the Team:

Our Family and Adolescent Support Team (FAST) – East and North are looking to recruit two experienced and passionate Social Workers who are committed to improving outcomes for adolescents facing risks outside of their family homes, including exploitation, missing, peer and contextual harm.

This is an exciting time to join Warwickshire as we embed our Families First model across the county. FAST teams work on a locality basis within multi-disciplinary and multi-agency networks, supporting adolescents and their families through relationship-based, trauma-informed and contextual safeguarding practice.

You will work closely with partners across Health, Police, Education, Housing, Youth Justice and the voluntary sector, providing professional leadership in complex adolescent safeguarding and supporting high-quality practice within the team.

About the Role:

We are recruiting for the role of two Experienced Social Worker’s, based in FAST East covering Rugby and FAST North covering Nuneaton, Bedworth and North Warwickshire on a permanent basis. We are looking for motivated, team players who are looking to further their social work career. This is a specialist role so is it essential that you are experienced in and passionate about the following areas of practice:

  • Contextual Safeguarding: Focusing on adolescents at risk of serious youth violence, missing episodes, child exploitation, and peer harm.
  • Multi-agency Collaboration: Working closely with the police, health, education, and youth justice teams to strengthen safeguarding responses.
  • Trauma-Informed Practice: Using relationship-based and restorative practice models to help stabilize families and divert youth away from the criminal justice system.

Qualifications: Requires a professional social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or degree in social work) and active registration with Social Work England.

Experienced Social Worker (K, L). Up to £47,575.00 per annum (Includes a £3,500 pro-rated market supplement which is subject to pension, tax and NI deductions Ts&Cs apply). Plus, Relocation Allowance up to £8,000 may be available if the relevant policy criteria are met. Ts&Cs apply).

Key Requirements:

  • Location will be based at the Nuneaton Justice Centre (North) or Rugby, Oakfield Centre (East).
  • You will need to undertake vetting screening for the post based in the Nuneaton Justice Centre.
  • Your working pattern will be 37 hours across the week.
  • Occasionally we may ask that you work outside of these hours for example, in an emergency,
  • We offer a mixture of office and home based working. The expectation is you are office based at least 3 times per week.

For the role will need a professional Social Work qualification and Social Work England Registration.
