Requirements

Your Role as a Social Worker

As a social worker within our family assessment services you will be integral to providing accurate and objective advice and support to parents enabling families to thrive.

  • Build meaningful, professional, and respectful working relationships with the families in our centres.
  • Lead the assessment process and complete comprehensive assessments of parenting capacity.
  • Tailor assessments to meet the needs of families and provide the best opportunities for success.
  • Benefit from dedicated social work practice managers, qualified line management, supervision, and support.
  • Access legal advice, bespoke training, and opportunities within the social work service to flourish and develop.
  • Provide evidence-based, analytical, and comprehensive parenting assessments that provide clear recommendations for permanency planning for children and their families.

Our Ideal Candidate Should

  • Have a Social Work Qualification.
  • Be registered with Social Work England.
  • Have a minimum of 1 year’s post-qualifying experience with children and families.
  • Demonstrate a willingness and ability to work across a number of our family assessment centres.
  • Have experience and capability in preparing high-quality parenting assessment reports for court.
  • Be experienced in working with families to complete robust parenting assessments, being honest, objective, and open with them.
