Job Title: Children’s Social Worker
Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting for an experienced Children’s Social Worker to join Liverpool Council’s Short Breaks Service. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled practitioner with experience supporting children with disabilities and their families. You will be responsible for managing complex cases, completing high-quality assessments, and working collaboratively with children, young people, families, and partner agencies to ensure children receive the right support and achieve positive outcomes.

What will your responsibilities be?
As a Social Worker within the Short Breaks Service, you will:
- Manage a complex and varied caseload
- Complete Short Break Assessments and Carer Assessments
- Ensure arrangements are regularly reviewed with robust risk analysis
- Maintain accurate Care Plans and Reviews
- Undertake direct work with children and families
- Provide effective support within relevant statutory frameworks

You will use professional judgement, evidence-based practice, critical reflection, and analysis to inform complex decision-making. You will work closely with multi-agency partners, attend relevant forums, and contribute to safeguarding children through effective assessment, planning, and intervention. You will also:

- Maintain accurate case records
- Support the continuous development of practice within the team
Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Social Work England registration
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- A full UK license
- Post-qualified experience
- Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
