Role Overview

As a Sofa Host at Sofa Club, you bring our brand to life on the showroom floor, helping create a space that feels like a destination, not just a store. In this role, you play a key part in delivering both performance and experience, ensuring every customer journey is effortless, inspiring, and memorable.

You take the stress out of sofa shopping, guiding customers with confidence and ease while creating genuine connections. You go beyond selling, styling, storytelling, and curating an experience that feels more like fashion than furniture.

You help set the tone in the showroom, maintaining a space that reflects our bold, design-led brand. From supporting in-store activations to engaging with the local community, you contribute to building excitement around our brand as we launch our brand-new Edinburgh and Cardiff showrooms.

You live our values every day: Change the Game by challenging traditional retail, The Power of Us by working together as one team, Own It in every interaction, and Keep It Simple by delivering a seamless customer experience.

This is a hands-on role where customer connection meets creativity, bringing energy, style, and impact to every moment on the showroom floor.

Key Responsibilities

In-Store Experience

  • Create an immediate impact with a warm, confident welcome that sets the tone for a standout, style-led showroom experience.
  • Lead personalised, consultative conversations that make sofa shopping feel effortless, inspiring, and enjoyable.
  • Bring the Sofa Club brand to life by helping customers express their style and elevate their homes.
  • Build genuine connections by understanding each customer’s lifestyle, aesthetic, and how they want their space to feel.
  • Confidently guide customers through styles, fabrics, and configurations, curating options that feel considered, relevant, and design-led.
  • Create confidence at every step, ensuring customers feel supported, excited, and certain in their decisions.
  • Take ownership of the customer journey from first interaction through to order completion and beyond.
  • Handle customer queries and challenges with professionalism, empathy, and a solutions-focused mindset.
  • Use your product and styling knowledge to recommend solutions that feel tailored, effortless, and on-brand.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
