Role Overview
Location: Scarborough, Yorkshire
Salary: Competitive
Working hours: 0800 - 1700 Monday to Friday
Contract Type: Permanent Full Time

Role Overview
The Soft Services Lead is responsible for overseeing and delivering all soft Facilities Management (FM) Services across one or more sites, depending on location. Services typically include cleaning, catering, waste management, landscaping, pest control, porterage, visitor support and reception services. The role ensures the delivery of consistent high service standards, compliance, cost efficiency, and a safe, tidy and pleasant environment for our client’s staff, contractors and site visitors.

About The Role
What you will do:
- Service Delivery Management
- People Management
- Supply Chain and Contractor Management
- Health, Safety & Compliance
- Stakeholder Management
- Sustainability & Environmental Initiatives
- Support to the wider Site Facilities Management Team
You will provide supervision and guidance to the Site Facilities Team, consisting of
- Cleaning Operatives
- Facilities Assistants
- Hospitality Assistants
- Reception Assistants
What You Will Need
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience of workplace or commercial cleaning, at a supervisory level or above would be an advantage
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Experience of providing good customer service
- Methodical and meticulous approach to work
- Be able to read and speak English to ensure safe working practices are followed
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
Education And Experience
- Previous experience in facilities, maintenance, or a similar role (preferred)
- Relevant certifications (e.g., BICSc, Health & Safety) are a plus
Working Conditions
- May involve physical and repetitive tasks (lifting, moving equipment)
- Combination of indoor and occasional outdoor work
