Software Automation Tester
We are working in partnership with a leading Glasgow-based SaaS organisation to recruit an enthusiastic and talented Software Automation Tester.
This innovative technology business develops a modern cloud-native platform used by customers across multiple industries, helping them streamline complex processes, improve operational efficiency, and drive business growth.
With a strong focus on product innovation and engineering excellence, they are continuing to expand their technology team as they scale their platform and customer base.

The Role
You will be an experienced Automation Tester who wants to make a real impact on the quality of a rapidly evolving SaaS platform.
As a key member of the Engineering team, you will play a leading role in building and enhancing automated testing capabilities, ensuring the business can continue to innovate while maintaining high levels of quality and reliability.

You will work closely with Software Engineers, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle rather than treating testing as a final stage activity.
This role would suit someone who enjoys getting hands-on with automation tooling, solving complex technical challenges, and helping to shape how quality engineering is delivered across an organisation.
Your focus
- Designing, building, and maintaining automated test frameworks across web and API layers.
- Embedding automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable software delivery.
- Collaborating closely with developers to identify and prevent defects earlier in the development lifecycle.
- Investigating, documenting, and helping resolve software defects and quality issues.
- Championing testing best practices and promoting a quality-first culture across the engineering team.
- Supporting the evaluation and adoption of new testing tools, frameworks, and approaches as the platform continues to scale.
- Contributing to test strategy, test planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Your profile
- Proven experience testing SaaS or cloud-based applications.
- Strong hands-on automation testing experience using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Experience scripting or coding in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or C#.
- Solid understanding of API testing and automation.
- Experience integrating automated testing within CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of modern software development practices and Agile environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A collaborative mindset with a genuine passion for software quality.
