Job Title: Software Build Manager

Location: Warton - Hybrid, 3 days onsite

Salary: £51,77+ (DOE)

Job Description:

You’ll play a key role within the Air ERP Build Team, supporting the delivery of software solutions that enable critical business operations across Finance, Procurement, Manufacturing and Logistics. Working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, you’ll help coordinate Agile software delivery activities, oversee sprint planning and support development teams to deliver high-quality solutions aligned to business priorities.

You’ll work closely with software engineers, testers and stakeholders, helping resolve delivery tasks, mitigate risks and drive continuous improvement across development processes. Using hybrid-Agile practices and modern ERP technologies, this role offers excellent opportunities to influence delivery outcomes, support team development and contribute to meaningful change across the Air business.

Core duties:

  • Oversee software sprint activities, coordinating priorities, timelines and delivery across multiple development teams
  • Supporting software engineers with daily issues, removing blockers and tracking progress against delivery goals
  • Collaborating with testing teams and stakeholders to ensure high-quality software releases meet business requirements
  • Conducting sprint retrospectives, identifying improvements and supporting continuous enhancement of development processes
  • Designing, developing and maintaining customisations, extensions and workflows within Infor LN using BaanC (Baan 4GL/Tools)
  • Document Technical solutions clearly, including functional specifications and change records

Essential Skills:

  • Experience delivering software sprints within Agile environments, coordinating delivery, priorities and development timelines
  • Considerable software development background, understanding technical delivery processes and collaborative engineering practices
  • Experience using Atlassian and Jira toolsets to coordinate workflows, reporting and sprint activities
  • Ability to monitor performance metrics and reporting, providing clear updates to stakeholders and leadership teams
  • ERP module knowledge, familiarity with at least one or two core modules (E.g Manufacturing, Finance, Procurement, Warehousing)
