This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Software Craftsperson (Node.js/React.js/AI) based in United Kingdom.
This is a remote opportunity for a software engineer who is passionate about building high-quality, scalable, and maintainable systems.

Accountabilities
As a Software Craftsperson, you will take ownership of designing, developing, and improving production systems while following strong engineering principles. You will contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from understanding user needs to delivering reliable solutions.
- Build and maintain scalable full-stack applications using modern technologies, including Node.js, React.js, and AI-powered development tools.
- Apply software craftsmanship practices such as test-driven development, clean code principles, refactoring, and continuous delivery.
- Take end-to-end ownership of features, including front-end development, back-end services, infrastructure, and deployment processes.
- Collaborate through pair programming, peer reviews, and proactive teamwork to continuously improve engineering quality.
- Work closely with product teams to understand problems, define solutions, and deliver impactful features and improvements.
- Participate in an environment focused on continuous learning, experimentation, and raising technical standards.
- Contribute to a culture of ownership, feedback, collaboration, and delivering measurable outcomes.

Requirements
You are an experienced individual contributor who thrives in an ownership-driven environment and enjoys solving complex technical challenges with autonomy. You combine strong engineering fundamentals with a passion for product thinking and continuous improvement.
- 1.5+ years of full-stack software development experience with hands-on experience building and maintaining production systems.
- Strong expertise in Node.js, React.js, and AI-related development practices.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and software engineering methodologies.
- Experience working with Agile and Extreme Programming (XP) practices in a continuous deployment environment.
- Familiarity with test-driven development, CI/CD tools, web frameworks, relational databases, and performance optimization.
- Working knowledge of server configuration, deployment infrastructure, source control, and bug tracking systems.
- Ability to write technical documentation, define problems independently, and communicate effectively.
- Strong sense of ownership, curiosity, and commitment to engineering excellence.
- Product mindset with the ability to understand customer needs and contribute beyond assigned tasks.
- Comfortable working remotely and collaborating effectively within Pacific Standard Time working hours.
