Overview
Our agile development team are responsible for building internal and client-facing applications, including research, data, analytics and interactive investment tools. We deliver these through both web interfaces and function libraries. We make a big impact on the business and believe in continuous improvement. It’s about focus and efficiency and ultimately delivering results.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to play a key role in a complex legacy platform transformation programme within a regulated environment. You will be responsible for designing, developing and delivering scalable modern applications while supporting the migration of existing systems to contemporary technology stacks. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with.NET Frameworks/.NET technologies, C#, Azure Cloud, and modern front-end frameworks such as React, alongside a proven track record of working on large-scale system modernisation or legacy migration projects.
This is a 12 month fixed term contract and will be a hybrid role which can be mainly remote.
How You'll Make An Impact
- Undertake software engineering duties across the full stack and full development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, specification, design, development, testing, deployment and support.
- Contribute fully to Agile ways of working, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation and related team activities.
- Take ownership of allocated features, work packages or projects, providing technical direction where required.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Carry out any other duties reasonably required and commensurate with the level of the post.

About You
- Extensive experience developing in.Net Framework is essential. Please note we cannot consider candidates who do not have this experience.
- Experience of previously working on Legacy Migration projects in Insurance or Financial Services environment is essential.
- Experience of React and TypeScript/JavaScript and associated web technologies.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud technologies is essential.
- Good working knowledge of relational database management systems and SQL, preferably MongoDB and/or SQL Server.
- Experience of working with microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with automation testing technologies and techniques especially Playwright.
- Knowledge of tools including Octopus Deploy, TeamCity, Azure DevOp, Kubernetes or Docker would be advantageous.
- Ability to take ownership of features, initiatives or projects and provide technical leadership as required.
- Professional and collaborative approach, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
