About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fire Safety Engineer to join our dynamic team at Countfire. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining fire safety systems for a diverse portfolio of clients. You will collaborate with project managers, clients, and regulatory bodies to ensure that all fire safety measures meet industry standards and legal requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for safety and innovation. Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor's degree in Fire Safety Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Professional certifications such as NICET, CFPE, or equivalent are highly desirable. Candidates should have a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in fire safety system design, installation, or inspection. Strong knowledge of fire safety codes and standards, including NFPA, BS, and local regulations, is essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to effectively liaise with clients and team members. Proficiency in CAD software and fire safety modeling tools will be considered an advantage. A proactive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines are critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop comprehensive fire safety systems tailored to client needs, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
  • Conduct site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend appropriate safety measures.
  • Collaborate with project teams to oversee the installation and commissioning of fire detection and suppression systems.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, drawings, and documentation for project approval and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide expert guidance and support during client consultations, ensuring clear communication of safety strategies and solutions.
  • Monitor ongoing system performance and perform regular maintenance inspections to ensure continued safety and efficiency.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry developments, codes, and best practices to continuously improve safety protocols and system design.
  • Assist in training clients and staff on fire safety procedures and system operations.
  • Contribute to business development efforts by preparing proposals and participating in client meetings.
