Software Developer needed for a well-established company in Telford
You'll take ownership of a substantial, business-critical legacy estate built on C#, Visual Basic and SQL Server — spanning Windows apps, web apps, websites, APIs, stored procedures and CMSs — maintaining, supporting and incrementally improving these systems while helping build the knowledge needed for a planned migration to a modern Power Platform and Azure stack.
This is a role with genuine depth: minimal documentation, years of embedded business rules, and real problem-solving. If you're patient, methodical and energised by untangling complex systems, you'll have a visible impact right up to the modernisation programme.
ABOUT THE CLIENT
Our client is a progressive organisation at the heart of its industry, with family values, a strong team spirit and a genuine commitment to personal development. You'll join a passionate, friendly and hardworking team in a technology-rich environment, working alongside experienced colleagues who are keen to share their institutional knowledge.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
