About The Role
Our client, a prominent software company operating within the ecommerce sector, is seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to join their dynamic team. The role involves leading the development efforts for their bespoke ERP and point of sale solutions, which serve a diverse and expanding client base across multiple industries. As a Senior Software Developer, you will work closely with the Development Manager to enhance existing software, develop new features, and contribute to ongoing upgrades and innovations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the company's product offerings, ensuring high-quality standards, and driving technical excellence in a collaborative environment.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years of experience in software development, demonstrating a strong technical background and proficiency in relevant programming languages and frameworks. You should have a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions and be well-versed in modern development methodologies. Excellent communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. A proactive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to evolving project requirements are critical for success in this role. Relevant qualifications in computer science, software engineering, or related fields are preferred.

Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality software solutions within established timelines, adhering to coding standards and best practices outlined in company documentation.
- Propose and implement improvements to coding standards and development processes in collaboration with the Development Manager to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for all code changes and develop supplementary explanatory materials as needed to facilitate understanding and future maintenance.
- Participate in requirement gathering sessions, contribute to defining technical specifications, and collaborate with team members to identify effective development strategies.
- Lead project initiatives when assigned by the Development Manager, ensuring smooth execution and delivery.
- Engage actively in Agile practices such as daily scrums, sprint planning, and retrospectives to promote continuous improvement.
- Support and mentor other team members by sharing expertise and fostering a collaborative learning environment.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to quality standards and facilitate knowledge transfer within the team.
- Collaborate on cross-functional projects within the group, contributing to the development of integrated solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and support to other departments regarding software functionalities, troubleshooting, and development needs.
- Prioritize development tasks effectively, exercising sound judgment when adjusting project priorities to meet business objectives.
