About The Role
As a Software Developer at Synergi Tech, you'll be at the heart of our development team, creating innovative software solutions that empower businesses to thrive. You'll work primarily with our core technology stack of Laravel, PHP, MySQL, and Vue.js, whilst also having the opportunity to explore emerging technologies and contribute to diverse projects.
We're looking for someone who is passionate about writing clean code, solving complex problems, and delivering exceptional results for our clients. Whether you're building a sophisticated web application, integrating third-party APIs, or optimising database performance, you'll be making a real impact on businesses across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain bespoke software applications using Laravel, PHP, and MySQL
- Build responsive user interfaces with Vue.js and modern frontend technologies
- Collaborate with the team to design scalable and efficient software architectures
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development processes
- Work directly with clients to understand requirements and deliver solutions that exceed expectations
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the full stack
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends

Required Skills And Experience
- Strong proficiency in Laravel framework and PHP development
- Experience with MySQL database design and optimisation
- Solid understanding of Vue.js and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
- Understanding of RESTful API design and implementation
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Self-motivated with a passion for learning new technologies
Advantageous Skills
Whilst not essential, experience in any of the following areas would be beneficial:
- Experience with other programming languages (Python, Node.js, etc.)
- Mobile application development (iOS, Android, React Native, Flutter)
- AI and machine learning integration experience
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Knowledge of Docker and containerisation
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Understanding of software testing and TDD principles
- Previous experience in an Agile development environment
