Junior Software Engineer (Back-End) – Python/FinTech

We are hiring an enthusiastic Junior Back-End Developer to contribute to innovative web and mobile applications that serve modern financial services. You’ll work alongside AI-powered workflows—using tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude, and similar platforms—to accelerate development cycles while building secure, scalable systems.

Responsibilities

Develop, test, debug, and maintain application code—both legacy and new—while ensuring alignment with business standards. Build scalable, secure Python applications on AWS services, adhering to defined technical specs. Create and execute test plans, upholding code quality for both individual contributions and team projects. Document technical workflows, including design specs and implementation notes. Collaborate with senior devs and cross-functional teams to ship features on time, on-brand. Participate in code reviews to refine best practices and enforce clean code standards. Gain proficiency in PCI compliance and related industry regulations for financial systems. Flip requirements documentation into structured software implementations.


Qualifications & Attributes

  • Proactive about adopting new tech; comfortable with rapid adaptation
  • Prior experience with AI-powered dev tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, etc.)

✅ Probleml-solving ability

  • AC wilderness; thrive under tight deadlines
  • Detektive-level debugging skills
  • Preferences:
    • Familiarity with Django/FastAPI
    • Basic containerization (Docker)
    • Hands-on with AWS (Lambda, S3, API Gateway, DynamoDB)
    • Restful APIs, object-oriented design, SOLID principles
    • Git workflows and CI/CD familiarity
    • Front-end (HTML/CSS/JS) or security-aware dev

Desired Experience

1+ year building Python applications (from domain expertise or undergraduate curricula). Affinity for data protection (e.g., PCI) and metadata integrity.
