Software Developer II
Software Engineer (Back-End) – Permanent Role
We’re seeking a talented, proactive Software Engineer (back-end) with 3+ years of experience to join our growing Agile team. In this role, you’ll help design and deliver scalable web and mobile solutions that drive modern financial services, working across the full development lifecycle—from concept through deployment—using Python and AWS in a remote-first environment.
As part of our AI-enabled engineering culture, you’ll leverage tools like GitHub Copilot and Claude to accelerate delivery, enhance code quality, and solve complex challenges more efficiently.

Responsibilities
Your work will include:
- Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable, secure applications using Python and AWS services
- Ownership of features and components from initial design through deployment and support
- Collaborating with product owners, designers, and engineers to deliver solutions aligned with business goals
- Writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices and coding standards
- Code reviews, providing constructive feedback to ensure quality and consistency
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues across applications
- Participating in system design discussions around architecture, scalability, and performance
- Mentoring junior developers and sharing technical knowledge
- Improving CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and development processes
- Ensuring adherence to security and compliance requirements (e.g., PCI standards)
- Producing and maintaining clear technical documentation

Qualifications
Ideal Experience & Skills
- Strong working knowledge of the following:
- Python frameworks (e.g., Flask, Django, FastAPI)
- AWS services (e.g., Lambda, S3, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS)
- Designing RESTful APIs and microservices
- Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
- CI/CD tools and automated deployment pipelines
- Front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or modern frameworks)
- Monitoring, logging, and observability tools
- Experience in regulated environments (e.g., financial services)
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. Degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of programming experience in Python and Django
