The Private Cloud group is responsible for delivering next generation hybrid cloud products to small businesses, enterprises, and large telcos. This role will often need to enhance the capabilities of OpenStack.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs highly complex product design activities, which may require extensive research and analysis
  • Performs design, implementation, and maintenance of complex, multiple product modules/sub-systems.
  • Participates in product design meetings.
  • Performs complex bug verification, release testing, and beta support for assigned products.
  • Researches problems discovered by QA or product support and develops solutions to the problems.
  • Conducts unit testing and integration testing for functionality and limits.
  • May assist in performing on-site client work on complex applications.
  • Documentation of development work.
  • Researches and understands the marketing requirements for a product, including target environment, performance criteria, and competitive issues.
  • Researches new technology or development tools to remain informed of current technology.
  • Code and non-code (documentation, blog posts, email list) contributions towards upstream Open Source OpenStack projects
  • Interaction with Private Cloud group

  • Advanced technical knowledge in software development methodologies, design, and implementation

Compensation

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several geographic markets. The compensation range for this position ranges from £66,229.00/year in our lowest geographic market up to £88,271.00/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
