We're looking for a talented Mid-Level Unity Programmer

We're looking for a talented Mid-Level Unity Programmer to join our team at Playsport Games on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Following the recent announcement of Motorsport Manager PC 2 for PC, this fixed-term role offers the opportunity to play a key part in the next chapter of Playsport Games. The successful candidate will be dedicated to the development of this exciting new title, working alongside a passionate, highly motivated, and self-driven team committed to delivering the next evolution of the Motorsport Manager franchise.

At Playsport, everyone has a voice.

We're a collaborative team that values initiative, creativity, and continuous improvement, and we want you to feel empowered to make a meaningful impact on both our games and our studio.

What will you be doing at Playsport?

  • Develop gameplay systems, player-facing features, UI, tools, and shared game components using Unity and C#.
  • Own features throughout their lifecycle, from technical design and implementation through testing, release, and live support.
  • Translate user stories, feature specifications, and design mock-ups into responsive, performant, and maintainable gameplay solutions.
  • Prototype, iterate, and refine gameplay systems in collaboration with the Design team.
  • Implement reusable components, views, and gameplay modules following modern engineering practices.
  • Integrate frontend systems with APIs, backend services, and online infrastructure where appropriate.
  • Write clean, maintainable, efficient, and well-documented code.
  • Work within technical constraints while maintaining high standards of quality and performance.
  • Identify and implement performance improvements to ensure smooth rendering, responsiveness, and low-latency gameplay.
  • Participate in code reviews while contributing to coding standards and engineering best practices.
  • Support automated testing, Continuous Integration pipelines, feature flags, and release management processes.
  • Investigate production issues, analyse incidents, and contribute to debugging and resolution.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, Art, Production, QA, and Engineering teams to assess technical trade-offs and deliver player-focused solutions.
  • Produce technical documentation, contribute to design documentation, and provide realistic development estimates.
  • Improve internal tools, workflows, and developer experience where possible.
  • Be willing to support the team wherever needed to ensure successful delivery.
  • Always focus on delivering the highest-quality experience possible for our players.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
