About the Role

As a Robotics Developer, you’ll design, build, and support robotic automation solutions using NICE Real Time Designer within an Agile DevOps team. You’ll be hands-on, delivering cost-effective, high-quality automation that extends system capabilities—while maintaining live services and driving measurable savings.

This hands-on development role emphasises delivering robust, testable automation and ensuring system reliability. There may also be line management responsibilities to support and mentor junior colleagues and apprentices.

Responsibilities

Key Deliverables

  • Design and build high-quality robotic automation solutions to meet business needs
  • Work within an Agile team to estimate, plan, and deliver user stories and technical tasks
  • Write clean, secure, well-tested code adhering to modern software development principles
  • Contribute to engineering standards, continuously improving processes
  • Monitor and resolve live service issues, proactively identifying and fixing problems
  • Mentor junior colleagues, fostering capability growth across the team

Person Specification

Essential Criteria

You must demonstrate experience in the following areas:

  • Practical experience building automation solutions using NICE or a similar Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tool
  • Experience working in a software development environment using Agile practices
  • Understanding of continuous integration practices, including:
    • Unit testing
    • Test-driven development (TDD)
    • Version control tools (e.g., Git)
  • Experience with testing approaches, such as:
    • Performance testing
    • Accessibility testing
    • Security testing
  • Experience supporting/maintaining live services, including:
    • Proactively monitoring services
    • Resolving issues using monitoring/observability tools
  • Ability to solve technical problems and improve processes

Desirable Criteria (Experience may be considered by the vacancy holder)

  • NICE Robotics Process Automation experience
  • SQL databases integration/familiarity
  • Experience with API integrations into robotic services
