Job Description

About the Role

As a Robotics Developer, you will design, build and support robotic automation solutions using NICE Real Time Designer within an Agile DevOps team. Our robotics team delivers automation that extends the capability of existing systems, enabling new functionality while driving measurable cost savings.

This is a hands on development role focused on delivering high quality, testable automation solutions and maintaining live services.

What You'll Do

  • Design and build high-quality robotic automation solutions to meet business needs
  • Work within an Agile team to estimate, plan and deliver user stories and technical tasks
  • Write clean, secure and well-tested code in line with modern development principles
  • Follow and contribute to engineering standards, improving ways of working where possible
  • Support live services, proactively monitoring and resolving issues in production
  • Support and mentor junior colleagues, helping to build capability across the team

This role may include line management responsibilities, supporting and developing junior developers and apprentices.

Essential Criteria

You must be able to demonstrate:

  • Practical experience building automation solutions using NICE or a similar RPA tool
  • Experience working in a software development environment using Agile practices
  • Experience applying continuous integration practices, including unit testing, test-driven development and version control using tools such as Git
  • Experience of testing approaches, such as performance, accessibility and security
  • Experience supporting or maintaining live services, using monitoring or observability tools to identify and resolve issues
  • Ability to solve technical problems and improve processes

Desirable Criteria

It Is Desirable For You To Demonstrate Experience Of

  • Experience of NICE Robotics Process Automation
  • Experience of working with SQL databases
  • Experience of API integration into robotic services
  • Experience with principles of continuous delivery
  • Experience with HTML, JavaScript, SQL and C# or similar languages

Sift

Interview

During the panel interview, your Experience will be accessed. You will be asked to evidence your experience in Systems Design and Prototyping. You will also be asked Behaviour-based questions to explore in detail what you are capable of relating to the behaviour - Working Together.

You will be asked a Technical question based on Robotic Design to assess your competency in System Design.

You will also be asked to prepare (in advance) and deliver a short Presentation, to assess your experience. Full details will be provided if you are shortlisted.

Interviews will take place via video link. Sift and interview dates to be confirmed.
