Job Description
About the Role
As a Robotics Developer, you’ll design, build, and support robotic automation solutions using NICE Real Time Designer within an Agile DevOps team. Our Robotics team delivers automation that enhances existing systems, enabling new functionality while driving measurable cost savings.
This is a hands-on development role focused on creating high-quality, testable automation solutions and maintaining live services.

What You’ll Do
Your key responsibilities include:
- Design and build robotic automation solutions to meet business needs
- Work within an Agile team to estimate, plan, and deliver user stories and technical tasks
- Write clean, secure, and well-tested code aligned with modern software development principles
- Follow and improve engineering standards and ways of working
- Support live services, proactively monitoring and resolving production issues
- Mentor junior colleagues and help build capability across the team
Note: This role may include line management responsibilities, including supporting and developing junior developers and apprentices.
Professional Criteria
Essential
You must demonstrate the following:
- Practical experience building automation solutions using NICE or a similar RPA tool
- Agile software development experience, including continuous integration practices
- Experience with unit testing, test-driven development, and version control (e.g., Git)
- Testing expertise, including performance, accessibility, and security
- Experience supporting live services using monitoring or observability tools
- Ability to solve technical problems and improve processes
Desirable
The following experiences are desirable but not mandatory:
- NICE Robotics Process Automation experience
- Experience with SQL databases
- API integration into robotic services
- Principles of continuous delivery
- Technical skills in HTML, JavaScript, SQL, and C# or similar languages

Requirements for Employment
Security Clearance
Before being offered the role, you must have:
- Security Check (SC) clearance (Standard vetting).
- Meet residency requirements (5 years residency in the UK prior to vetting application).
- Baseline personnel security standard checks required for government assets.
Note: From 1 April 2026, updated residency and nationality policies will apply.
