Role Description
The Software Development Lead is a full-time, on-site role based in Brentwood. This position is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of software solutions that support client business needs and internal operations. Day-to-day tasks include managing a development team, assigning and tracking work, reviewing code for quality and performance, and ensuring adherence to best practices and project timelines. The role involves collaborating closely with consultants, business stakeholders, and technical staff to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and refine solutions based on feedback. The Software Development Lead also oversees system integration, conducts testing, supports deployment, and provides guidance on architecture, security, and scalability, while mentoring team members and contributing to continuous improvement of development processes.

Qualifications
- Strong software engineering skills, including proficiency in at least one modern programming language (such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript) and experience with software design patterns and object-oriented development.
- Solid experience with web and application development technologies, including frameworks, APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and version control tools such as Git.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, including experience guiding developers, conducting code reviews, and coordinating cross-functional projects.
- Strong skills in requirements analysis, solution design, and technical documentation to align software solutions with business objectives.
- Familiarity with agile or similar development methodologies, as well as experience with testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with consultants, stakeholders, and clients in a business consulting context.

Beneficial Qualifications
- Prior experience in consulting or professional services.
- Exposure to multiple industries.
- Background in designing scalable, secure enterprise solutions.
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) is preferred.
