Job Description
As a Regulatory Data Team Leader, you will lead a cross-functional team in the delivery of regulatory reporting software solutions.
The Data Engineering department is responsible for writing software and reporting systems to communicate jurisdiction-specific information to international regulators. They are developed to high standards, tuned for performance and reliability with low tolerances for error.
We're using an architecture that includes high-throughput, database-centric distributed applications, supporting batch reporting, integrating with SOAP and REST APIs, and featuring Windows and web services, as well as web applications.

You will be responsible for ensuring the team's output meets stringent regulatory reporting requirements while upholding high standards of technical design.
This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working policy.
Responsibilities
- Lead a geographically distributed software delivery team
- Ensure the team’s output meets stringent regulatory reporting requirements and adheres to best design practices
- Own the delivery of reporting solutions to meet regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with Finance and Compliance departments and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and meet timeframes
- Oversee risks, issues, and external team dependencies to completion
- Continuously identify and implement improvements to working practices, processes, and deliverables to support the efficient delivery of high-quality software
- Lead the adoption of AI solutions to enhance workflows and reporting capabilities
- Provide mentoring, coaching, and career development support
- Maintain team performance and collaborative working environments
- Provide management with status updates of team deliveries and activities, escalating issues affecting project milestones
Qualifications & Requirements
Essential
- Strong experience with GCP and BigQuery, demonstrating a deep understanding of cloud architecture
- Experience working with various AI tools to enhance workflows and processes, backed by practical application in projects
- Experience leading a geographically distributed software delivery team
- Highly organised and adaptable; excelling in prioritisation, delivery, and driving efficiency in high-demand environments
- Ability to maintain a positive outlook while adapting to rapidly changing requirements
- Strong ability to drive stakeholder collaboration to clarify requirements, produce designs, and meet timelines
- Start-up mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in designing and implementing software solutions within a cloud architecture

Advantageous
- Experience working in a regulatory or commercial gambling environment
- Commercial database development experience, including SQL Server 2014 or later, T-SQL, or BigQuery and GoogleSQL
