Shape the Quality Behind Every Pet Parent's Digital Journey!

Do you love delivering seamless digital experiences that customers can rely on? Join Pets at Home as a Software Test Engineer and play a key role in ensuring the quality, performance and reliability of our retail and eCommerce platforms.

About the Role

Working within Agile product teams, you'll help shape and test customer journeys across our websites, mobile apps and retail systems, ensuring every release delivers a great experience for pet parents and colleagues alike.

This role offers hybrid working from our Support Office in Handforth, Cheshire (SK9).

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Testing customer journeys across web, mobile app and back-office retail systems
  • Designing and executing functional, integration, regression, exploratory, API and end-to-end testing
  • Validating critical eCommerce processes including search, checkout, payments, fulfilment, returns and customer accounts
  • Collaborating with Product Owners, Developers, Analysts and Designers to build quality into every stage of delivery
  • Supporting automation, CI/CD pipelines, defect management and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Testing integrations with key business systems including ERP, OMS, WMS, CRM and payment platforms

About You

  • Experience as a Software Tester, Test Engineer or QA Engineer within an eCommerce or retail environment
  • Strong experience testing websites, mobile apps, APIs and integrated business systems
  • Knowledge of tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Postman and SQL
  • Understanding of test automation and modern Agile delivery practices
  • A collaborative, quality-first mindset with excellent problem-solving skills
