Software Engineer (Ruby on Rails / Vue.js)
π Location: Soho, London (Hybrid β 3 days onsite)
π° Salary: Β£50,000 β Β£75,000
π Type: Permanent
My client is one of the fastest-growing fitness technology platforms globally, helping personal trainers, gyms and fitness brands deliver digital coaching experiences at scale. Following several years of rapid growth, the business is expanding its London engineering team to support the next phase of product development.
What You'll Be Doing
- Develop new features using Ruby on Rails and Vue.js
- Build and maintain REST APIs powering web and mobile applications
- Contribute to payment, subscription and scheduling functionality
- Work with PostgreSQL to support scalable application performance
- Help improve application reliability, testing and code quality
- Collaborate with product, design and engineering teams throughout delivery
- Support CI/CD pipelines, deployments and AWS infrastructure
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices

What They're Looking For
- 3β5+ years' commercial experience with Ruby on Rails
- Experience building web applications and REST APIs
- Some frontend experience with Vue.js (or similar JavaScript frameworks)
- Good understanding of SQL databases and modern software development practices
- Experience working in agile engineering teams
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn

- Experience with AWS or Docker
