Java Developer
Newcastle Upon Tyne – Hybrid (3 days onsite)
£45,000-£60,000 plus bonus
We're working with a leading global technology and professional services organisation that delivers innovative digital, cloud and engineering solutions across a wide range of industries. This is an opportunity to join a highly skilled engineering team, developing enterprise Java applications and delivering secure, scalable solutions for high-profile clients.
As a Java Developer, you'll build and maintain microservices using Java and Spring Boot in an agile environment. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver secure cloud-based solutions, following best practices in software development, testing and continuous integration.

What You'll Need as a Java Developer
- Proven experience as a Java Developer with at least 2-5 years in a commercial environment.
- Commercial experience with Java (JDK 11+) and Spring Boot.
- Experience developing microservices and enterprise applications.
- Experience with enterprise middleware platforms, including WebLogic Server and CAS SDK.
- Experience deploying applications into public cloud environments such as AWS using containers.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, and SonarQube.
- Strong understanding of Test Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration, and Continuous Testing.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Eligible to obtain SC Security Clearance (5 years' continuous UK address history required).
