Location: Manchester (Hybrid) Salary Banding: £50,000 - £66,000
A leading global technology and consulting organisation is hiring Software Engineers to join a major Software & Platform Engineering team in Manchester. You’ll design, build, and deploy modern cloud-native applications for large-scale private and public sector clients.
About the Role
This is a hands-on engineering role perfect for someone who enjoys:
- Building production-quality software

Responsibilities
- Design and build traditional and serverless applications and services
- Integrate applications with data stores, message buses, and wider architecture
- Deploy applications using containers, cloud services, and CI/CD pipelines
- Support production observability, maintainability, and performance
- Write clean, secure, well-tested software with:
- Unit
- Integration
- Contract testing
- Deliver small-to-medium engineering tasks in agile collaboration
Technologies You’ll Work With
- Programming Languages: Java, TypeScript, Python, Go, C#, or modern frontend frameworks
- Cloud Environments: AWS (preferred), Azure, or Google Cloud
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, AWS CDK, Pulumi, or similar
- CI/CD Tools: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI, ArgoCD
- Supporting Tools: Containers, serverless, CI/CD, testing, and observability frameworks

What You’ll Bring
- A few years’ commercial software engineering experience
- A strong hands-on coding and debugging skill set
- Cloud-native development experience
- Exposure to CI/CD and secure software delivery
- Good communication and collaboration skills
