An innovative organisation in the financial services space is looking for a Python Engineer
The successful candidate will contribute to the design and enhancement of robust web applications while working on existing platforms to improve reliability and developer workflows.
What You'll Be Doing
- Designing and developing high-quality software solutions using modern programming languages and frameworks.
- Collaborating with product managers and designers to define software requirements and devise solution strategies.
- Implementing secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data.
- Participating in code reviews and promoting a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
- Optimising system performance and supporting engineering excellence across complex environments.

What We're Looking For
- Proven experience with Python web applications using FastAPI or Flask.
- Strong experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs at scale.
- Deep understanding of OOP principles such as SOLID and DRY.
- Proficiency in SQL with Oracle, including schema design and query optimisation.
- Practical experience with test-driven development using pytest or unittest.
