Now is an exciting time to join a leading manufacturer of innovative test instrumentation in Hampshire, as a Software Engineer.

Joining the Engineering Team, your main duties will be writing code to develop the Windows applications software, including control and data acquisition for the next generation products.

  • Writing software for new products, you will ensure your NPD projects are delivered on-time and to budget.
  • You will contribute towards system and architecture design decisions.
  • As a key member of the Engineering Team, you will assist with backlog prioritizations, task planning, development objectives, and contribute to commercial decisions.
  • You will create and maintain project documentation to a high standard and provide training materials as required for internal and external use.
  • Working closely with the marketing, sales, and production teams, you will provide support on software-related and technical matters on existing products.
  • You should ensure that all products meet essential regulatory requirements for the territories they are sold to (e.g., CE marking).

Qualifications:

  • Educated to Degree level (or higher) in Computer Science or similar discipline or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • Experience in Object Oriented programming in C++ and/or C#.
  • Use of Microsoft Visual Studio.
  • Developing Windows GUI applications.
  • Understanding of modern software design models (for example, MVVM).
  • Multi-threaded applications running under Windows OS.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and fix software bugs in electro-mechanical systems.

Additional Information:
