Job Description
Join Wholesum.tech as the second full-time engineer to build robust infrastructure and APIs for complex human text data analysis. Working directly with the founders, you will design scalable architecture using Python and AWS to deliver precise, auditable insights for high-stakes industries where statistical rigor and data reliability are paramount.

What You Will Do
- Design and build the core infrastructure, data models, and APIs that power the analysis engine using Python and FastAPI.
- Define scaling patterns and cloud architecture on AWS using Terraform and containerization to ensure platform reliability and security.
- Collaborate with enterprise pharmaceutical and finance clients to ensure systems meet strict observability and auditability requirements.
The ideal candidate
- Several years of professional experience with a core stack of Python, FastAPI, and deep AWS knowledge including ECS/EKS and Lambda.
- Hands-on expertise in DevOps practices, including Infrastructure as Code via Terraform, CI/CD, and managing production cloud deployments.
- A proactive generalist mindset comfortable moving between application code and infrastructure while navigating the ambiguity of an early-stage startup.
