Software Engineer – Cloud-Native Development Team
Location: Leeds (Hybrid) Salary: £55,000–£65,000 + Excellent Benefits
A world-leading global technology consultancy is seeking talented Software Engineers to join its Software & Platform Engineering team in Manchester. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and test scalable software solutions using cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Implement backend services in languages such as Java, C#, Python, or Go, ensuring high performance, reliability and security
- Integrate frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue or Svelte) for dynamic full-stack development
- Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate deployment workflows
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins)
- Work with NoSQL technologies (where eligible) to design data models that optimise query efficiency
- Actively participate in agile ceremonies and drive solution improvements based on client feedback
- Contribute to the advancement of software engineering best practices across projects
Technical Requirements
Must-Have Skills:
- Three+ years of full-stack development experience in Java, C#, Python, Go or TypeScript
- Strong familiarity with modern frontend frameworks: React, Angular, Vue or Svelte
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP)
- Deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Jenkins

Desirable (but not mandatory):
- Experience with NoSQL technologies, particularly Elasticsearch
- Debugging expertise and solution architecture involvement
- Passion for collaboration and mentoring junior engineers
** Requirements**
- Able to achieve SC Security Clearance, meaning you must:
- Have lived in the UK for at least five continuous years
- Not have spent more than 30 consecutive days abroad at a time during this period
