Software Engineer

C++ Developer – London - 150k+

RJC is working on a C++ Developer role for a global energy trading company based in London. The Quant Strategy Team is seeking a developer to assist in implementing and maintaining the company’s quant and risk platforms.

Responsibilities

The role requires technically excellent developers with:

  • Experience in implementing high-performance algorithms across internal infrastructure.
  • Ability to communicate technical ideas and solutions effectively to traders and analysts.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 5+ years of C++ development experience.
  • Substantial commercial experience in implementing or working with a Risk & PnL engine.
  • Preference for experience in trading environments, especially in energy or commodities (functional understanding of trade flows).
  • Strong ability to work under pressure with traders and front-office users.
  • A strong sense of ownership, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
