Software Engineer
Senior Java Developer

About the Role
As a Senior Java Developer at Kainos, you will lead the development of high-quality, customer-captivating solutions that positively impact users worldwide. This is a fast-paced, collaborative environment where you’ll:

Minimum Requirements (Essential)
Technical Proficiencies
- Strong experience in building and testing modern software applications
- Advanced knowledge of Java and TypeScript
- Hands-on experience with frameworks:
- Angular
- Hibernate
- Dropwizard
- Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases
- Familiar with Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
- Proficiency in cloud services, including AWS or Azure
- Demonstrable track record in:
- Application design & development
- Debugging & troubleshooting live systems
- Following development best practices & patterns
Collaborative & Leadership Skills
- Ability to mentor junior team members
- Active participation in technical discussions & decision-making
- Experience in balancing technical solutions with business/user needs

- Excellent communication skills (technical and non-technical stakeholders)
- Experience with multiple programming languages and data storage technologies
- Strong grasp of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), including SaaS/PaaS offerings
- Proven ability to simplify complex topics for varied audiences
