About the Role
As a Software Engineer, you will contribute hands-on to our enterprise software solutions, working closely with senior teams to:
- Develop, implement, and maintain features according to technical specifications
- Own specific code components and tasks
- Expand your expertise in a dynamic, collaborative environment
Location: Primarily office-based in Cheltenham, with 3 days/week hybrid flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
Feature Development
- Design, code, and deploy new features and components based on technical requirements.
Problem Solving
- Debug and resolve bugs, ensuring robust troubleshooting methods are applied.
Quality Assurance
- Uphold high standards of code quality, testing coverage, and documentation for all projects.

Technical Stack & Ecosystem
We seek a versatile engineer with hands-on experience across key areas:
Core Backend & Architecture
- Languages: C# (preferably .NET), Go/Golang, or Python
- Architecture: Microservices and RESTful API design
- Data Stores: PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, or equivalent RDBMS
Frontend Development
- Frameworks: React, Vue, or Angular
- Languages: JavaScript/TypeScript
- Integration: Consuming and developing against internal REST APIs
DevOps, Cloud & Automation
- Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP (familiarity with basic deployment concepts)
- CI/CD & Builds: Experience with automation tools (BuildKite, Jenkins)
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Basic knowledge of Terraform or CloudFormation
- Scripting: Bash or PowerShell for routine automation
Quality & Security
- Testing: Proficiency in unit testing (NUnit, MSUnit, Jest), exposure to integration/E2E (Cypress, Playwright)
- Version Control: Advanced Git/GitHub skills
- Security: Secure coding practices adherence

Skills
