Software Engineer (C++, Java, Python)

Location: Ampthill, Bedfordshire Salary: £41,000–£55,200 Contract Type: Hybrid working and 4-day work week option (Mon–Thurs) Hours per Week: 37.5

The Role

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer with strong C++, Java, and Python expertise to join our Engineering Team based in Ampthill, Bedfordshire.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimise C++ Java and Python code across complex systems.
  • Support mission-critical projects, ensuring superior performance in integrated programmes.
  • Collaborate as part of a high-performing, interdisciplinary team.
  • Utilise strong oral and written communication to engage stakeholders.

Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven software engineering capabilities with demonstrable evidence through past work, projects, or portfolios.
  • Strong programming proficiency in:
    • C++
    • Java
    • Python
  • Experience working on large-scale integrated programmes, delivering impactful results.
  • Exceptional communication skills (both technical and business 했고상모)
