Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Key Responsibilities

Product Delivery

  • End-to-end ownership: Take projects from concept to deployment, ensuring robust, maintainable solutions that solve real user problems.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with Product, Design, and Data teams to align on strategy, user needs, and impact measurement.
  • Balanced trade-offs: Prioritize speed and quality, making tactical decisions in dynamic environments, and better ideas from each iteration.

Technical Excellence

  • Write thoughtful code: Lead by example—emphasize architecture, performance, and modern development practices.
  • Process improvement: Propose and pilot changes to strengthen the engineering culture and codebase health.

Mentorship & Growth

  • Teach others: Guide junior engineers, share knowledge, and champion growth-minded cultures.
  • Stay curious: Always experiment with cutting-edge tools/tech to re-evaluate our tech stack and processes dynamically.

Technologies & Setup

We embrace TypeScript + B2B SaaS systems, with core stacks in:

  • Frontend: React
  • Backend: APIs, databases (scaling for enterprise needs)
  • Tooling: Apple hardware throughout the team, (e.g., MacBook Pro/Laby and associate equipment)

Who We’re Looking For

Product-Minded Engineers: Not just feature builders—you actively understand users, their problems, and the "why" behind engineering decisions.

Full-Stack T-Shaped Experience: Shipping production systems (both frontend and backend) with 5+ years of proven, measurable impact.

Core Skills & Traits:

  • Ownership mindset → You’re proactive, accountable, and enjoy seeing work through.
  • Systems thinking → You can debug methodically, identify systemic patterns, and design sustainable solutions.
  • Collaborate fiercely → Bridge gaps between disciplines—clarify complex topics for business or technical teams, and welcome feedback.
  • Continuous learner → Reflect after every "failure," seek improvement, and propel team growth.

Not a Fit For You If…

  • Prefer fully remote roles: We believe in repeat in-person collaboration, with at least 2x office days/week (Tues-Thes).
  • Want specialized silos: A small team means full-stack versatility. We’re generalists in dynamic environments, not specialists with narrow lanes.
  • Prioritize process over shipping: We move fast. Rigid approval chains slow us down.

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation: Structure your package between salary and share options.
  • Wellbeing investments:
    • Comprehensive health & dental insurance (including mental health support).
    • 25-day holiday (+ birthday off!), enhanced sick pay.
  • Family-first focus: Enhanced parental leave, workplace nursery scheme.
  • Growth investment: Dedicated £500 learning & development budget yearly.
  • Tax-efficient pension enrolment.
  • Employee referral bonus.
  • Cycle-to-work scheme.
  • Tech-first setup: Deploy Apple initiates (display, keyboard/trackpad) for all engineers.

Diversity & Inclusion

We’re building for a diverse workforce and a sustainable future.

Embrace various identities, motivations, and perspectives. Equal opportunity applies to ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, familial status, neurodiversity, and beyond—we’re actively dismantling barriers to foster a supportive workplace.

Full inclusion for intersectional people aligns with our mission to reach undisclosed collaborations in Global South markets. Equal pay for equal work is established policy.
