Software Engineer (Full Stack / Angular)
Location: London (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote) Contract: 6 Months Contract Working Hours: Standard Business Hours Hourly rate: £46.15 p/h
About the Role
We are looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to join internal engineering team responsible for a platform used to manage events, attendee nominations, event communications, and reporting.
The team is expanding to support increased business demand and is looking for a hands-on engineer who can contribute quickly to the design, development, testing, and delivery of new product features.
This is a predominantly front-end role, with approximately 60–70% of development focused on Angular, while remaining comfortable contributing to back-end services and API development.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy new features for the events platform
- Build modern web applications using Angular and TypeScript
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and back-end services
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver solutions
- Participate in code reviews and promote engineering best practices
- Write clean, maintainable, scalable, and well-tested code
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application and production issues
- Contribute to system design discussions and technical decision-making
- Improve system performance, code quality, and long-term maintainability
- Support technical documentation and knowledge sharing across the team

Requirements
Essential
- Software Engineering experience
- Full Stack development experience
- Strong commercial experience with Angular and TypeScript
- Experience developing modern web applications using current Angular versions
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs
- Back-end development experience using one or more of:
- Java
- Kotlin
- Go
- C++
- Strong understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms
- Experience with software testing, debugging, and code reviews
- Knowledge of software design principles, system architecture, and scalable application development
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Desirable
- Database design and development experience
- Experience working on large-scale internal tools or business applications
- Knowledge of performance optimisation and application monitoring
- Experience working in fast-paced product engineering environments
