Our team is based in one of our central London offices, near Moorgate station. We operate a hybrid working model, meeting to collaborate in the office three times a week.
Your Impact
Full Lifecycle Development: Work in an agile team to design, develop, test, and deliver new features and improvements to our products. DevOps & Microservices: Be trained on and help manage the operational side of our highly available microservice architecture, including being part of an on-call rotation. Adaptable & Problem-Solver: Tackle varied and challenging problems daily, showing flexibility, a data-driven focus on quality, and an ability to learn new skills quickly. Ownership & Quality: Take responsibility for tasks, from building new functionality to developing automated tests and investigating issues, all with a level of high attention to detail. AI-first: Use a variety of AI tools in your daily workflow for enhanced productivity; contribute to Cisco’s growth by using and applying AI in new scenarios and opportunities. Support & Growth: Receive dedicated mentorship and formal training from a supportive team of fellow engineers to help you get up to speed and grow your skills.

Minimum Qualifications
Analytical Degree: Bachelor's or higher degree in an analytical subject (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Maths, Physics). Coding Aptitude: Some programming experience and the willingness to learn new languages quickly. Problem Solver: Ability to apply a scientific approach and creative skills to complex problems. Adaptable & Collaborative: Flexible, willing to take on new and complex challenges, thrives in diverse team environments, and communicates clearly and precisely. Quality Focus: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to continuous learning and quality results.
Preferred Qualifications
Any of the following skills would be particularly advantageous, but we welcome applications without these:
Knowledge of programming in one or more of the following languages: C++, C#, C Familiarity with Linux Familiarity with Windows development Experience with data science / AI Knowledge of networks and networking protocols (such as TCP/IP and HTTP) Exposure to cryptography Familiarity with virtualisation and containers (such as Docker and Kubernetes) Familiarity with audio and video coding, processing techniques, and technologies (such as Opus or H.264) Familiarity with Git, DevOps, continuous integration, continuous delivery
We provide training and mentoring for all new team members to fill in any gaps.
