About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior AI Agent Engineer to design, build, and scale highly performant, production-ready AI agents. This is more than prototyping—your work will directly drive Sierra’s growth across industries like finance, healthcare, and commerce.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll take ownership of the AI agent lifecycle from conception to deployment, ensuring agents are:
- Mission-critical (not just experimental)
- Highly scalable across industries
- Empathic and business-aligned (not just technically sound)
Core Responsibilities
- Design and deploy production-grade AI agents that solve real-world business problems.
- Own the Agent Development Lifecycle (ADLC)—pilot, iterate, and refine AI agents in production.
- Collaborate deeply with customers, understanding their pain points and co-building solutions.
- Shape Sierra’s platform by surfacing unmet needs and prototyping future features.
- Experiment with cutting-edge techniques (e.g., voice models, generative agents) and scale solutions for enterprise-grade adoption.

What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves
- Experience building and scaling production systems (scalable, reliable, and high-performance).
- Strong problem-solving in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
- A "builder’s" mentality—you thrive under ownership, are resourceful, and ship innovations.
- Comfort working directly with customers to translate needs into product solutions.
- Clear, persuasive communication for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Even Better…
- Experience deploying AI/LLM systems in production (end-to-end responsibility).
- Founder/early-stage engineering background—where ownership and speed are critical.
- Familiarity with modern AI stacks:
- Eval frameworks (e.g., LangBen, C-Eval)
- Agent tooling (e.g., AutoGen, CreativeML)
- RAG pipelines, multi-agent workflows, and prompt engineering.
- Proficiency with React, TypeScript, and/or Go (bonus for Cloud/ML mindset).
- Customer-facing or external project leadership experience.
