We're working with a leading global hedge fund that's investing heavily in AI and looking for a Software Engineer to join its growing AI team.
This is an opportunity to work at the forefront of AI adoption, helping to design, build and scale the internal AI tooling used by engineers and business users across the firm.
You'll work on everything from agentic workflows and MCP servers to AI governance, security and developer enablement, playing a key role in how modern AI technologies are implemented across the business.

Responsibilities

- Build, maintain and improve internal AI tooling and platforms.
- Design, manage and maintain MCP servers.
- Establish and promote best practices for agentic engineering.
- Migrate legacy workflows to AI-driven solutions.
- Define security policies and data access controls for AI applications.
- Deliver training and support to engineers adopting AI tooling.
- Contribute to multiple AI initiatives across the organisation.
Requirements
- 5+ years' commercial software engineering experience.
- Strong Python or Java development experience.
- Strong SQL or NoSQL database skills.
- Experience building and maintaining MCP servers.
- Experience with Docker or Podman.
- Hands-on experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Gemini CLI or GitHub Copilot CLI.
- Strong understanding of modern LLMs, including how they work, their capabilities and limitations.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related technical discipline, or equivalent commercial experience.
