Overview Of The Role
Etio has been developing a suite of AI-powered products that sit at the heart of its service delivery ambitions. These tools are in late-stage development, shaped by close collaboration between the Director of Technology & Digital and senior technical leadership. The Software Engineer, AI Products takes this work forward, building out the application layer, driving products through to production, supporting them through early-stage adoption, and ensuring they are reliable, maintainable, well documented, and ready to scale. Deeper involvement in prompt design, agent workflows, and API-based model integration will build progressively as the person grows into the role.
Key Responsibilities
Your core responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Take ownership of Etio's AI-powered product portfolio at the application layer, day to day accountable for interfaces, workflows, and integrations.
- Drive products from late-stage development through to production-grade status, ensuring reliability, testing coverage, and performance at scale.
- Own post-launch hypercare, monitoring performance, resolving issues, and supporting users through early adoption.
- Design and build integrations and automation workflows (including N8N) between AI applications and other business systems.
- Follow Etio's responsible AI guidelines, supporting governance activity including Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
