Senior Cloud Applied Specialized Software Engineer

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience testing and launching software products
  • 3 years of experience with software design and architecture
  • 5 years of experience with one or more of the following:
    • Speech/audio (e.g., voice duplication and response technologies)
    • Reinforcement learning (e.g., sequential decision-making)
    • ML infrastructure
    • Specialization in another machine learning (ML) field
  • 5 years of experience with ML design and ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging, fine-tuning)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
  • 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms
  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional or cross-business projects

  • You’ll embed with key accounts to build and deploy AI-driven solutions, accelerating Customer Engagement Suite (CES) initiatives.
  • Bridge critical gaps between core product teams and customer requirements, directly impacting generative AI adoption and customer success.
  • Shape AI product innovation for Gemini Enterprise (e.g., Shopping Agent, CX Agent Studio, Agent Assist, Vertex AI Search), ensuring fast, deployable solutions.

As part of Cloud Applied AI (AAI), you’ll:

  • Drive customer growth via AI solutions with Transformer-level expertise.
  • Operate at the AI frontier with unmatched agility and collaborative innovation.
  • Help define the next era of scalable generative AI in enterprise applications.

  • Customer-Centric Problem Solving:

    • Lead direct discussions with stakeholders to identify business barriers.
    • Design, co-develop, debug, and deploy custom conversational AI agents for accelerated time-to-value.
  • Knowledge Sharing & Governance:

    • Distill real-world learnings into reusable tools, documentation, and best practices for organization-wide impact.
  • Full-Stack Engineering & Customization:

    • Serve as highly autonomous resolution leader
      • Write bespoke code.
      • Develop custom tooling.
      • Directly contribute to core product optimizations for critical customer demands.
  • ML Technical Leadership:

    • Lead AI/ML-specific solution design and optimization.
    • Enhance ML infrastructure (e.g., deployment, model tuning, data pipelines).
    • Guide data processing and model optimization approaches.
