About the Role

Edinburgh-based SaaS Organisation, with a market-leading product, are looking for a collaborative Software Engineer (with good experience using the.Net framework and JavaScript / TypeScript) to join their agile team – modern tech!

They’ve been running really successfully now for several years and their product is used worldwide, largely both within the UK and the US. It’s a data-focused product that is proven to enhance the efficiency within organisations and ultimately lower costs. They've got a busy pipeline of project work, including new feature development and major enhancements to the product - so they'll be plenty to keep you busy.

About the Company

They're based in central Edinburgh and have a development squad of around eight Engineers. They'd describe themselves as a friendly and sociable bunch that promote collaborative working and are looking for a similar fit. For this role (and all technical roles at the business) they’re ideally looking for someone that is comfortable working onsite, roughly three days per week.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Responsibilities

You’d find yourself working on their core cloud platform, which is written with a modern tech stack (.Net, Azure, Microservices, Vuejs + TypeScript and more). So they're ideally looking for an Engineer that has good experience working across the Full Stack - however, you don't need to tick every technical requirement, they're happy to help people upskill here as it's a great L&D environment.

Ideally, you’ll have experience with most of the following;

  • Modern.Net (.Net Core, ASP.Net MVC)
  • Databases (SQL Server or Entity Framework)
  • Modern JavaScript Frameworks (ReactJS, Angular or VueJS)
  • Test Driven Development
  • Working in an Agile environment

Benefits

The company have a great culture, several of their Engineers have strong tenure within the business, and it’s rare someone would have a short stint here. I’ve personally helped a couple Engineers join the team over the past few years and heard great things firsthand.

Their offices are just walking distance from Haymarket and Waverley station in Edinburgh, where they support hybrid working, with three days in office. In return they’re able to offer a salary from £30k to £45k, on top of a good benefits package to match (Annual Bonus, 34 days holidays), alongside a great opportunity to continue developing your career within a collaborative and supportive engineering environment.
