Software Engineer | C#.NET | London, hybrid

We're partnered with a leading global investment management firm who is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join its Reporting & Compliance Technology team.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in delivering strategic regulatory reporting solutions within a complex financial services environment. Working closely with technology and business stakeholders, you'll help design, develop and support scalable reporting platforms that ensure compliance across multiple global jurisdictions.

The Role As a Software Engineer, you will:

  • Design and develop strategic regulatory reporting solutions.
  • Analyse business and technical requirements to deliver robust, scalable systems.
  • Work closely with analysts, engineers, testers and operations teams throughout the full software development lifecycle.
  • Support the implementation of regulatory change initiatives.
  • Conduct technical impact assessments and gap analysis.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues, performing root cause analysis where required.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across technology and the business to drive continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to Agile ceremonies including refinement sessions, sprint planning, demos and retrospectives.
  • Help promote the use of modern development practices and AI-powered tooling.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong development experience using C#.NET, SQL and Azure technologies.
  • Experience working with data mapping, data analysis and reporting solutions.
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira and GitHub.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across business and technology teams.

Desirable Experience

  • Exposure to regulatory reporting within financial services.
  • Understanding of trade lifecycle processes, OTC derivatives or middle-office operations.
  • Experience with Azure services including: Azure Data Factory, Function Apps & Web Apps, Event Grid
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as Solvency II or ISO 20022.
  • Experience delivering AI-enabled solutions.
  • Exposure to automated testing frameworks.
