Our client delivers navigation solutions to commercial and defence maritime operators worldwide. We're looking for a Software Engineer to join our Engineering Department in New Malden, developing the Windows-based display applications that sit on the bridge of vessels around the globe - the interfaces crews rely on for navigation, situational awareness, and safe passage at sea.

- Building and maintaining C# applications that run on marine display hardware - real software, on real ships, doing work that matters
- Owning full life-cycle development, from design through to field support
- Diagnosing and fixing issues reported from vessels already in service
- Working AGILE, with code reviews and close collaboration baked into the process
- Partnering with System Test teams to get releases right
- Providing technical leadership and mentoring within the team
What You'll Bring
- 8+ years in software development, ideally with large, complex codebases
- Deep experience with C#,.NET, and Windows Forms
- Strong grounding in multi-threaded and distributed applications
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP and UDP - network protocol xlqdzyr experience is a real advantage here, since these displays talk to other systems on the vessel
- Sharp analytical skills and comfort reviewing code and design across large projects
- A collaborative, communicative style - you'll be working across UK and international teams
