What the role is
We are seeking a capable and driven professional to join the Information Management team at the Health Sciences Authority. The role will contribute to the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of digital platforms that support HSA’s regulatory and public health mission. The candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver secure, scalable, and user-centric solutions aligned with government standards.
What you will be working on
- Design, develop, and maintain digital systems supporting HSA services
- Contribute to end-to-end delivery (requirements, design, build, test, deployment)
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to deliver solutions effectively
- Ensure systems meet security, performance, and compliance requirements
- Support system operations, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement
- Translate business needs into technical solutions through stakeholder engagement
- Contribute to adoption of modern practices (cloud, DevOps, AI where relevant)

- Background: in Computer Science, Computer or Electronics Engineering, Information Technology or related disciplines
- Experience: with cloud-based application development and web security
- Experience: in agile development teams, employing relevant methodologies and practices such as Scrum, Continuous Integration and Deployment to enable rapid delivery of value such as scripts for automated testing tools, scripts for configuration management
- Knowledge: of modern Software Engineering best practices, software development life cycle including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Proficiency: in: C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
- Proficiency: in other modern programming languages
- Proficiency: Relational and non-relational databases, such as MS SQL, PostgreSQL, etc
- Proficiency: Front-end frameworks such as React, Svelte, or Angular
- Proficiency: Deploying and maintaining content management systems and web applications in the cloud
- Proficiency: Development and deployment in low code environment
- Curious, inquisitive, keen and quick to learn, and generous and patient to share knowledge with teammates and mentor fellow developers
